On Wednesday 8th March 2017, the Rotaract Club Curepipe invited the clubs of the south and hosted the first "mega" joint meeting for this year for a series of motivational and awareness sessions.
Member's Engagement in the Club
The joint meeting was opened by President Alexandre and welcomed President-Elec Jeevesh, Rotary Mahebourg, for an interactive and humorous talk on membership and member's engagement in the club's activities.
An insight of Rotary, Rotaract and Interact
We also have had the pleasure to welcome ADG Carlo to have a presentation onto the foundation and structure of the Rotary International. ADG Carlo further gave us an insight onto the relationship and phases of being an Interactor, a Rotaractor and finally what is meant being Rotarian.
Physiotherapy Awareness by ROTA MBG
Rotaract Club Mahebourg has had the opportunity to do a Physiotherapy Awareness session, in collaboration with SIREC, where Treasure Mevin and SIREC President Lovin brought the attention of members and guests on the importance of having proper and good physiotherapy in the event one has unfortunately met an accident - otherwise the latter could be ill-treated and paralyzed. After the intevention of the SiREC President Lovin, Treasure Mevin went on with the presentation and demonstrated the different occupational postures one should adopt in their professional life.
To end this session, members of Rotaract Club Mahebourg staged a comedy sketch to showcase actual orthodox practices of Mauritian and the bad consequences for avoid a proper physiotherapy treatment.

Women's Day Presentation
Women's Day Celebration was a staged makeup item on the agenda for the joint meeting, while in real, the Rotaract Club Mahebourg had prepared a session full of surprises for the members and the guest. Rotaract Club Mahebourg has had the honors of soft-launching of its official website (www.rotaractmahebourg.com) by President Meghna and distributed sweets to all the ladies.
President-Elec Chetan, thereof, continued the session with presentation of a video in context of the International Women's Day, where we interviewed struggling women of the locality and gathered these women encouraging words to motivate other young ladies not to fold back. (Read More)
